Maui County has awarded grants totaling $380,000 to three nonprofit groups for culture and the arts, SCUBA diving technology and sister city business community partnerships.

The Maui County Sister Cities Foundation is extending an open call to youth artists, authors and musicians to submit works for Sister Cities International’s Young Artists and Authors Showcase.

Maui Mayor Charmaine Tavares announced $230,750 in county grants awarded to aid key community initiatives.  The largest allocation of $125,000 goes to the University of Hawaii for the Hawaii Business Research Library.  The funds will be used to support the operations of the library and promote a sustainable economic development by contributing to wages, benefits, […]
