`AHA HUI KAAHUMANU CELEBRATES QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY
A celebration of the birthday of Queen Ka’ahumanu takes place Friday and Saturday, March 13th and 14th at the shopping center named in her honor.The `Ahahui Ka’ahumanu Society honored the Queen with prayer, song and the ceremonial draping of lei on the Queen’s statue earlier this evening.
Members of the Royal Order of Kamehameha joined in the celebration as well as members of the Hale O Na Ali’i.
The protocol was followed by a performance by Na Leo Lani o Maui Community Choir.Tomorrow, on Saturday March 14th, the celebration continues with musical performances with Ahumanu at 11 a.m., Hulu Lindsey at noon, and Kings Culture at 1 p.m.

Members of the Royal Order of Kamehameha honor the Queen alongside members of the 'Ahahui Ka'ahumanu.

Fresh flower lei are draped on the statue of Queen Ka'ahumanu as the 'Ahahui celebrates her birthday.

The 'Ahahui Ka'ahumanu performs the mele O'oe I'o, a song speaking of the Heavenly Father, and the Living Water.
