A woman is in stable condition after being stabbed multiple times at a home in Kahului Monday night.

Authorities say the 30-year-old woman was stabbed an estimated nine times to her body.  Injuries also included wounds to her left arm, which police believe were defensive wounds.

Maui Police from the Wailuku Patrol District responded to the scene at 10:25 p.m., on a reported stabbing complaint.

The victim identified her attacker as 32-year-old Tashii S Farmer-Brown, an acquaintance of the victim.  Farmer was located, arrested and later charged for Attempted Murder II, with his bail being set at $100,000.00

Authorities have opened an attempted murder investigation into the incident and say the investigation is ongoing.
