Verizon Wireless Opening New Location; Hosting Two Maui Job Fairs

At a news conference at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Verizon Wireless announced a suite of 10 forthcoming 4G LTE devices.

Verizon Wireless is opening a new store at the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center and will be hosting job fairs this week and next to find retail and customer service employees for its new location.

Two job fairs will be held at the following locations and times:

  • Thursday, January 20
    Maui Community College
    310 West Kaahumanu Avenue, Kahului
    11:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • Monday, January 24
    Maui Beach Hotel
    170 Kaahumanu Avenue, Kahului
    10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Candidates are also strongly encouraged to apply online in advance of the Job Fairs at www.verizonwireless.com/careers to reduce wait times.

  • Education Reimbursement Program encourages employees to further education and helps lessen the burden of paying for school and working simultaneously.
  • An additional $1500 in pay to bilingual employees in key sales and customer service jobs.
  • Volunteer matching program will donate $750 to a non-profit organization of the employee’s choosing for time spent volunteering.
  • The Verizon Foundation offers scholarships to employees’ children for education; matches employee donations to non-profit organizations; and, matches employee volunteer hours at non-profits with grants to those organization.
