Ho’omau 2011 Fundraiser for Hawaiian Immersion

The annual fund raising even in support of the Punana Leo O Maui Hawaiian Immersion preschool program on Maui takes place this weekend.  Ho’omau 2011, presented by Na Leo Pulama O Maui features a full day of entertainment from 9 a.m. to sunset, Saturday, March 26, at the Keopuolani Park Amphitheater.

Activities include a keiki zone, crafters, live and silent auction and entertainment by: Na Palapalai, One Inity, Pac Vibe, Homestead, Kamaha’o, Na Hanona Kulike O Pi’ilani, Cody Pueo Pata & Halau, Napua Makua & Halau, Na haumana o ka Punana Leo o Maui & Kula Kaiapuni o Maui.

The theme of this year’s event is the ‘Olelo No’eau: “‘Ike ‘ia no ka loea i ke kahu,” translated as “An expert is recognized by the alter he builds.”

Tickets are $10 pre-sale, or $15 at the door.  Ticket outlets inlcude: Ruby’s Diner in the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center, Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Kahului, Cute & Cuddly Baby Boutique in the Maui Mall, Native Intelligence in Wailuku, Pacific Roots Tattoo in Kihei, Mana Foods in Pa’ia, Ku’au Mart, Paragon Salon in Makawao, and ‘Ohana Fun Center at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel.
