Maui College Hosts Smart Grid Expert
How can a Smart Grid help save money for residents and businesses? And how can smart grids lead to more sustainable energy? This is the topic of a lecture being presented by UH Maui College and Maui businesses are encouraged to attend.
Guest speaker will be smart grid expert, Dr. James Griffin, a researcher with the Hawaii Natural Energy Insitute (HNEI). Dr. Griffin specializing in integration of renewable energy sources into energy systems and analysis of energy policy. He will answer these questions and discuss the new pilot projects taking place on Maui and how residents and businesses can get involved in these initiatives.
Michael Chang of Hawaii Energy will also be there to provide information on energy rebate opportunities for Maui businesses.
The lecture will be held June 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm, Pa’ina Building, on the campus of UH Maui College.
