After a nearly seven month closure, the Kula State Forest reserve is expected to reopen to the public on Friday, July 15, 2011.

The area was initially closed on January 11, due to hazardous conditions caused by a series of storms.

Reopening of the park was postponed to allow completion of work and to make the area safe for public access.
