Maui Gas Prices Down From Last Month

The state average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $4.06, down a penny in the past month, but up 60 cents from a year ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge report.

Gas in Hawaii is still 39 cents more than the national average, which was listed at $3.67 today. Gas for metro areas monitored in the report are as follows:

  • Honolulu $3.95: unchanged from a month ago, and up 58 cents from a year ago.
  • Hilo $4.06: up four cents from a month ago, and up 61 cents from a year ago.
  • Wailuku $4.38: down three cents from a month ago, and up 57 cents from a year ago.

The price for mid-grade gas on Maui today is $4.47, premium is $4.57, and diesel is $4.80, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge report.
