The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Summit of Haleakala on Maui until 2 p.m. today, Thursday, July 28, 2011.  Winds are expected to be in the 25 to 30 mile per hour range with 40 mile per hour gusts.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Motorists are advised to use extra caution while driving.  Loose objects that may become airborne should be secured or moved indoors.
