VIDEO: Largest PV System on Maui Dedicated at Honokowai

Maui County’s largest commercial photovoltaic power generation system will be dedicated today along with a Level 2 electric vehicle charging station.

The 600-kilowatt PV generation system is located at the AAAAA Rent-A-Space facility in Honokowai and was constructed with the help of Haleakala Solar.

The system has the capacity to generate enough clean energy to power about 220 Maui homes.

The event also showcases a Level 2 electric vehicle charging station, affording the public one of the fastest vehicle charges available.

State Senator Rosalyn H. “Roz” Baker will join other officials and members of the community at the project site for the blessing and dedication ceremony.
