Former governor Linda Lingle returned to the Valley Isle on Tuesday for the opening of her Maui headquarters in her campaign for US Senate.
The former Maui mayor was surrounded by volunteers, friends and family at the Wailuku headquarters located on the corner of Church and Main streets. Multiple blessings were given before the doors were officially opened.
About 160 people attended the event according to Lingle’s Maui Campaign Manager Stephanie Aveiro.
The Maui location will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lingle is planning to open other headquarters around the state over the next several weeks.
The Maui office will be co-managed by Kalei Sombelon and Barbara Baisa.
