12 Vehicle Thefts on Maui June 3 to 9, 2012

There were a total of 12 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between June 3 and 9, 2012.
The incidents include two incidents in Kahului; six in Kihei; three in Lahaina; and one in Napili.
Vehicles stolen included: (2) Honda Accord; (1) Subaru Legacy; (1) Toyota Tacoma; (1) Suzuki dirtbike; (1) Yamaha motorscooter; and (6) mopeds – various models.
Five of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

Kahului:
- Monday, June 4, 2012, 11:45 a.m.: East Kaahumanu Avenue at the Maui Mall between Whole Foods and Longs. 1994 White Honda Accord. Lic #: MCR665; VIN #: JHMCD5633RC101219.

Kihei:
- Sunday, June 3, 3012, 9:30 p.m.: Kanani Road. 2010 Yellow Zhejiang Xingfu motorcycle Machine Co., Ltd. moped.
- Wednesday, June 6, 2012, 1 a.m.: Hoano Place. 1997 Black Toyota Tacoma. Lic #: LAJ367; VIN #: 4TANL42NXVZ242001.
- Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 10 a.m.: South Kihei Road at the Kihei Regency Apartments. 2003 Yellow Suzuki Jr. 50 dirt bike.
- Thursday, June 7, 2012, 3:46 p.m.: South Kihei Road at the Kukui Mall. 2005 Gray Yamaha A-Zuma moped. VIN #: LPRSA20A05A6128835.
- Thursday, June 7, 2012, 9:45 p.m.: Awihi Place at Kamoa View. 2010 Red and Black Kiat moped. VIN #: LYDTCBPC9B1501985.
- Saturday, June 9, 2012, 9:45 p.m.: Walaka Street at the Kalama Terrace. 2006 Blue Yamaha motor scooter. RECOVERED.
Lahaina:
- Monday, June 4, 2012, 10 p.m.: Front Street at Kamehameha III rear, west facing parking lot. 2000 Gold Honda Accord. RECOVERED.
- Thursday, June 7, 2012, 7 p.m.: Kenui Street at Hale Ohana parking garage. Silver Qingqi moped. RECOVERED.
- Saturday, June 9, 2012, 12:43 p.m.: Honoapiilani Highway at the Lahaina police. 2010 Black Roketa powersports moped.
Napili:
- Monday, June 4, 2012, 3: 33 p.m.: Lower Honoapiilani Road at Maui Lani Apartments. Black Sanyang SYM moped.
