The Office of Elections reminds residents that the last day for new voters to register to vote in the primary election is Thursday, July 12, 2012.

Completed voter registration forms must be turned in to the appropriate City or County Clerk office by 4:30 p.m. or postmarked by July 12, 2012 if mailed.

Wikiwiki Voter Registration Forms are available at: US Post Offices; public libraries; the Yellow Pages; the Office of Elections website at www.hawaii.gov/elections; City or County Clerk’s Offices;  and at most state agencies.

You must be a US citizen, a resident of Hawaii and at least 18 years old to vote.

Currently registered voters that have changed their name or moved since the last election should re-register before the voter registration deadline.

The primary election is Saturday, August 11, 2012.

Both the primary and general election results coverage will be broadcast live in a partnership between UH Maui College and Pacific Radio Group.  The wall-to-wall broadcast will include candidate interviews and up to the minute results coverage on UHMC Chanel 55, KMVI 550 AM, and a live video stream will be available here at Maui Now.
