Maui Band Festival Marches On After Tsunami Scare

A High School Marching Band Exhibition has been rescheduled for Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku.

The event was planned during Baldwin’s Homecoming Game which was interrupted at halftime due to the tsunami warning on Saturday.

The bands had practiced for many weeks to present their work during the game’s half time show.

The exhibition has been rescheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow night, Thursday, Nov. 1 at the War Memorial Stadium.

Admission is free and includes a performance featuring student musicians from Baldwin, Maui High, King Kekaulike and Lahainaluna.

Organizers ask the public to come and support marching band students from four high schools as they perform their own amazing field shows.
