Maui Fights Heart Disease with Go Red Soiree
By Wendy Osher
Heart Month on Maui kicks off with a “Go Red Soiree” on February 2nd at the Kapalua Spa. The elegant affair was organized as a fundraiser benefit for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Movement.
The inaugural “Go Red Soiree” includes a day of pampering with variety of mini events such as: a Fashion Show; “ Hot Lips” Contest; Chair Massages by Kapalua Spa associates; Silky Smooth Hands by Clarisonic; Body Posture Evaluation; Sexy Eyes Station by Opal; Lips Station by La Bella Donna Makeup; and complimentary sparkling Bubbles and Spa Truffles. A benefit silent auction will also be held to raise fund during the event.
Organizers say the event is intended to support the fight against the number one cause of death in women–heart disease. It is hosted in partnership between The American Heart Association and Kapalua Spa.
The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m., with doors opening at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013.
Cost is $65 per person with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the Go Red for Women Movement.
