Forecasters from the National Weather Service say advisory winds will be located in areas exposed to the trade winds, over mountain tops and through gaps.

The strong and gusty trade winds are the result of a high pressure system far north of the state.

As a precaution, the public is advised to secure any loose object that may become airborne, or move the items indoors.

The NWS notes that winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
