Long-time Maui realtors Robert H. ‘Robbie’ Dein and Kenneth M. ‘Ken’ Hayo have teamed up to form Maui Real Estate Advisors, a new real estate office located in the Wailea Town Center. Their team of realtors includes: Thomas J. ‘Tom’ Wolf, Jeannie Kong, Gina Duncan, and Randy Antonio.

Ocean’s Bar & Grill at the Kukui Mall and Sharkey’s Maui, the family entertainment center at the Lipoa Center in Kihei both closed in early April.

Ziriguidun, a Latin island fusion restaurant, has replaced Jawz Fish Tacos at Azeka Mauka mall in Kihei.

Justin Waiau and Brandon Starr opened the online-only Waiau Fight Company, Inc., a Maui-based mixed martial arts apparel and equipment retail and design company. The website currently only sells t-shirts.

Hui No Ke Ola Pono, a Maui-based native Hawaiian health care organization  announced the appointment of Joey Gonsalves as its next executive director. Also, at the HUI added two new directors to the Board: Steve Aheong and Mona Kapaku.

The Hawaii State Federal Credit Union appointed Allison M.C. Maertens as their new marketing director.

The Royal Trading Company celebrated its third anniversary at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

Oriana Buika, 14, a student at Baldwin High School, was a finalist in Toyota’s 2013 Dream Car Art Contest.  Buika’s entry (along with all other finalists) has been submitted to the World Contest for review.

Cariloha, a bamboo-based eco-friendly fabric products retailer,  and its sister store Del Sol, a retailer that specializes in clothing and accessories that change color in the sun, who both share the same space, opened across the street from Cheeseburger in Paradise on Front Street in Lahaina.
