Maui Chamber Update: Governor, CNN Anchor, Fireworks

Governor Neil Abercrombie will provide the keynote address at the Maui Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Installation Luncheon on Friday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A venue has not been announced.

Along with the governor’s visit, the Maui Chamber of Commerce has several business events lined up for their membership and the business community at large in the next couple months.

On Thursday, May 23, the Maui Chamber will hold its monthly Business After Hours networking event at the offices of Levin & Hu, CPAs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Doug Levin, the managing partner of the firm, will introduce The Cheqbook, an accounting software for the small business owner.

The Maui Chamber has also lined up Sharon Frame, former CNN news anchor and reporter, and empowerment speaker, leadership consultant, and author of “Wired to Win,” to share her wisdom and insight at a morning workshop on Friday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Additionally, the Maui Chamber is also seeking donations to help put on the Annual 4th of July fireworks presentation in Lahaina on Front Street on July 4. A chamber message noted that this event has been rated one of the top 10 fireworks displays in the nation and has drawn crowds of 20,000 people to Front Street.
