Small Craft Advisory ʻAlenuihāhā Channel

The National Weather Service has issued a small craft advisory until 6 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013, for the ʻAlenuihāhā Channel between Hawaiʻi Island and Maui.
According to the advisory, forecasters expect east winds to be blowing at 20 to 25 knots, and gusts up to 30 knots, with seas of 5 to 9 feet.
The NWS advises inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels to avoid navigating in these conditions.
