By Maui Now Staff
Maui police are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who allegedly entered an unsecured vehicle on Sept. 5 or 6, 2013, and stole a wallet containing a debit/credit card, which police say was later used to withdraw $500 cash from an ATM on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in Kahului.
Police say that in addition to the debit/credit card, the stolen wallet contained $250 in cash and the victim’s Hawaiʻi driver license.
Police released the attached image of the alleged offender, saying it was taken from First Hawaiian Bank’s video surveillance footage at around 5:38 a.m. on Sept. 8.
The bank branch is located next to Hoaloha Park and across the street from Burger King near the Puʻunene Avenue intersection.
Anyone with information regarding the theft or the identity of the person in the photograph is asked to call Detective Delos Santos at 244-6437.
