Maui Crime Log: 17 Burglaries, 8 Vehicle Thefts, 11 Car Break-ins

Maui police responded to 17 burglaries, eight vehicle thefts, and 11 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between Sept. 22 and 28, 2013.  The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

17 Maui Burglaries Reported Sept 22 to 28, 2013

Haʻikū:

• Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, 2:25 p.m.:  West Kuiaha Road at the Paʻuwela Cannery, unlawful entry.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 7:30 p.m.:  ʻŌpana Place, cottage, forced entry.
• Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, 2:43 p.m.:  ʻŌpana Place, unlawful entry.

Hāna:

• Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, 4:44 p.m.:  Hāna Highway (31) between Mile 31 and 40, unlawful entry.

Kāʻanapali:

• Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, 7 p.m.: Kai Ala Drive at the Kāʻanapali Villas, unlawful entry.

Kahului:

• Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, 9:15 a.m.:  Kunu Place, forced entry.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 8:30 p.m.: Niʻihau Street, forced entry.

Kīhei:

• Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, 12 p.m.:  South Kīhei Road at the Days Inn, unlawful entry.

Lahaina:

• Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, 10:30 p.m.:  Front Street, 1400 block, unlawful entry.
• Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, 5:58 p.m.:  Aʻa Street, unlawful entry.
• Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, 3:15 a.m.:  Kenui Street at the Front Street Apartments, unlawful entry.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 6 p.m.: Malanai Street, unlawful entry.

Wailuku:

• Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, 6 p.m.:  Eha Street, forced entry.
• Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, 8:30 a.m.:  Nīhoa Street, unlawful entry.
• Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, 3:59 p.m.:  Lawai Place, forced entry.
• Friday, Sept. 27, 2013,8:40 p.m.:  Lani Place, forced entry.

• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 6:30 p.m.:  Kio Loop in the gravel sales lot for the Kīhei Auto Dealership.  2000 Green Isuzu Rodeo.  License:  MGD605.  VIN: 4S2CK58D5Y4301500.

Lahaina:

• Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, 10:30 p.m.:  Front Street.  2014 Silver Chevy four-door sedan.  RECOVERED.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 4:35 p.m.:  Liloa Street.  1990 Red and Blue Honda motorbike.

Nāpili:

• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, 11 p.m.:  Hui Drive at the Nāpili Sunset.  2013 Silver Chevy Suburban.  RECOVERED.

Pukalani:

• Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, 11:45 a.m.:  Pukalani Street at the Pukalani Community Center.  2005 Silver Toyota Highlander.  RECOVERED.

Spreckelsville:

• Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, 8:30 p.m.:  Ulupua Place.  2008 Blue Honda Pilot.  RECOVERED.

Wailea:

• Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, 2:30 p.m.:  Wailea Alanui Drive at the Andaz Maui at Wailea.  1997 Red Toyota Tacoma. RECOVERED.
