The Kamehameha Schools Maui girls soccer team capped a perfect 12-0-0 season Tuesday, trouncing Maui High on its home field, 4-0, and spoiling the Sabers’ senior night.
Freshman Leialoha Medeiros scored two goals, her fifth and sixth of the season, as the two-time Maui Interscholastic League girls Division I champions enjoyed a four-goal, first-half explosion, en route to a 50-goal season. The offense was fueled by a stout defense determined to finish the MIL regular season with a shutout.

Junior striker Quinn Williams drew first blood with her goal in the fourth minute. Medeiros’ first goal came in the 14th minute and five minutes later Keahaulani Macadangdang made it 3-0.
Finally in the 37th minute, a very active Medeiros launched a ball off her head from about 18 yards out for the game’s final tally.
The Sabers fell to 8-3-0, tied for second in the girls standings with Baldwin.
Last Friday, Jan. 17, when Kamehameha Maui clinched the league championship with a 8-1 rout of Seabury Hall, all five of the team’s seniors scored, including Kaitlin Barcoma three times. On Tuesday, the Lady Warriors got three of their four goals from underclassmen Medeiros and Williams.
Maui High gave up half as many goals on Tuesday as it has allowed all season.
