NWS forecasters say the island will see sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts upwards of 50 mph.

The advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

As a precaution, the agency advised the public to use extra caution, noting that winds can bring down tree branches and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
