MEO Transportation Director Receives Manager Certification

Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc.’s Transportation Director Harry Johnson passed a national exam and is now certified as a community transit manager.
The approval was granted by the Community Transportation Association of America’s National Certification Council.
Johnson has worked for MEO more than twenty years as a driver, operations manager, assistant director and director.
Organization CEO, Lyn McNeff said, “We celebrate Harry’s certification as it affirms MEO’s commitment to be an agency of excellence. As we gear up to celebrate our 50th anniversary we continue to support our staff in all areas of professional development.”
“Staff development is one of the key ingredients in fulfilling our mission of helping people in need restore their hope, reach their potential and enrich their lives,” said McNeff.
MEO transportation supported via County of Maui grant appropriation include services to: Ala Hou , Easter Seals & Adult Day Care, Employment for the Disabled, Community Expansion, Dialysis, Low-income and Economically Challenged, Kaunoa Leisure Program, Ka Lima O Maui Program, Rural Shuttle, Senior Nutrition Program, Youth Expansion, and Youth programs on Maui and Moloka’i.
Other MEO transportation programs include services for: the HeadStart Program, Hospice of Maui, Independent charter, Maui Memorial Medical Center, Medicaid, Transit provider for Maui County – Emergency Operation Center.
