Honua Kai Resort Appoints New General Manager

Intrawest Honua Kai Hospitality Management, LLC, doing business as Honua Kai Resort & Spa announced the appointment of Claudio Andrade as the property’s new General Manager.

Andrade previously served as the resort’s Assistant General Manager when he was hired last year.

In his new capacity, he will oversee IHKHM’s rental management operations at the property’s 628-room ownership property located on 38 acres at Kāʻanapali Beach in West Maui.

According to the announcement, Andrade brings more than 25 years of resort experience to his new position.

Prior to joining the Honua Kai, Andrade was the director of rooms for the Fairmont Orchid, Hawaiʻi where he managed the front office, housekeeping, recreation and guest services at the 538-room resort.

Andrade is a native of Brazil, studied English at Bergen Community College in New Jersey, and earned his Executive Leadership Certificate from eCornell.

The General Manager of the Honua Kai Condominium Association has not changed.
