Kupu Maui Offers Early Thanksgiving Feast
By Vanessa Wolf
This Saturday, November 22, Kupu Maui reminds us that there’s always something to be thankful for, beginning with their “warm up for Thanksgiving” Thanksgiving feast.
Beginning at 3:30 p.m., get a peek at their new Kula location at the eight-acre Enchanting Floral Gardens.
After your stroll through the grounds, dinner is provided by the folks at Soup to Nuts Catering.
The Thanksgiving-style meal opens with a crudite platter with herb dip.
This is followed by an appetizer of Fennel and Orange Salad with white wine vinaigrette.
Up next, enjoy Creamy Leek and Potato Soup followed by your entree of Roast Turkey with classic bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, butternut squash, and green beans with mushrooms and onions.
Dessert features a Sweet Potato Pecan Pie with a rum drizzle made by B3 Beach Bunny Bakery.
Solo guitarist Reiko Fukino provides live entertainment and a variety of holiday items – from poinsettias to wrapping paper to gluten free squash and sweet potato pie – will be available for purchase.
Kupu Maui events are BYOB, BYOO (Opener) and BYOG (Glasses), although nonalcoholic beverages are provided.
Organizers recommend casual attire, flat, comfortable shoes, and a sweater or jacket.
The dinner is $75 per person and reservations are required.
Proceeds go toward supporting local farmers in their pursuit of food safety and security.
