Future plans for Pāʻani Mai Park in Hāna, Maui, will be the focus of discussion for an upcoming meeting hosted by the Maui Department of Parks and Recreation.

The public meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at the Helene Hall meeting room in East Maui.

County officials say the design consultant, Fukumoto Engineering, will make a presentation covering a brief history of the project since the expansion parcel was added to the park, along with a discussion on some of the challenges moving forward.

The community is invited to participate in the planning process by providing their comments and ideas on the build-out of the park.
