We have another hot and humid day in store for us today. We expect high temperatures from 86° to 91°. Mostly clear mornings with isolated windward showers and afternoon cloud cover and scattered showers for leeward areas.
UV index at 12 (“extreme” exposure level)
Variable winds are expected up to 15 mph tonight with local land breezes developing especially for leeward spots as the night progresses. Partly cloudy skies and isolated showers to start but clearing as the land breeze takes hold. Low temperatures from 70° to 75° are expected.
Winds are expected to be light through Friday. Daytime heating will produce local sea breezes which will cause clouds and scattered showers over leeward and interior sections each afternoon and evening, followed by local land breezes and clearing skies overnight. There may be a slight increase in afternoon showers over the next couple of days as an area of enhanced moisture currently located near the eastern Big Island pushes up over the remainder of the state. The trades are expected to return for the holiday weekend.
