Maui Fish’n Chips in South Kīhei will hold its grand opening on Saturday, July 11, 2015, starting at 11 a.m.

Maui Fish’n Chips, comprised of a group of local investor friends, has recruited food developer Dion Abbott, the original recipe developer for Alexander’s Fish & Chips. He has revived and refined the recipes for the family restaurant.

Maui Fish’n Chips offers only high-quality fish, service with aloha and reasonable prices–meals are in the mid-price range of around $6.99 per serving.“I have seen many places come and go in my 30 years on Maui,” said Abbott. “It is my goal to reinvent and renew one of the most beloved concepts of the past with my people and their children. It’s time to give back.””Many of us have fond memories of delicious and affordable food–we want to bring some back to Maui” said Head Chef Mark “Marz” Hoyt.

“Our commitment is to provide a friendly gathering place to enjoy quality food” said Kevin Bell, the launch manager.

Bell worked in a Michelin Star restaurant in Napa prior to joining the Maui Fish’n Chips team.

“I have returned home to Maui so I can bring back the aloha I remember growing up,” said General Manager Jeremy Boshart.
