Mayor Alan Arakawa answers some of the most-asked questions submitted to his office staff.

Hi mayor,

Q: I am 6 and I want to know what your dog’s name is.

A: Aloha and thank you for asking! My dog’s name is Spot and he is 11 years old now. He’s very friendly and if you met him, he would likely follow you all over the place and want you to throw a ball so he can chase it. He keeps an eye on my turtles that I keep in my back yard and lets me know when people come to the house by barking at them. I will let Spot know that you asked about him!
