Customers Receive Royal Welcome at Burger King Grand Re-Opening

Burger King at the Maui Marketplace on Dairy Road in Kahului began the grand re-opening celebration of its newly renovated location on Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The grand re-opening event on Wednesday will began with a traditional Hawaiian blessing followed by Hawaiian music and hula by Ke Kani Malie.

Staff offered Burger King Crowns and free samplings of the new Fiery Chicken Fries, regular Chicken Fries, Orange Freeze and Frozen Lemonade.

DJ Trance & Mackie from Da JAM (98.3 FM) follow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a live broadcast and interviews. They added to the excitement with music, games and giveaways.

Trance held an unusual art contest using ketchup packets as paint on placemat canvases.

Customers also had the opportunity to spin the Da Jam Prize Wheel for prizes such as a round trip on Expedition to Lāna‘i, Ace Hardware gift cards and plenty Burger King items and gift cards. The grand prize is a Weekend Staycation for two.

Attendees also signed up (no purchase necessary) for a chance to win a shiny, new bike from Dr. Pepper. Burger King guests can sign up from now to Aug. 23.

The fun will continue on Saturday, Aug. 22, with more promotions and sampling as well as fun for the whole family. A face painter and balloon twister will be entertaining keiki from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We are very excited about the renovation and we are inviting everybody to join us for the celebration of the newly renovated store with great entertainment, prizes and delicious food,” said Burger King Hawai‘i Managing Director Denise Yamauchi. “Burger King is proud to be a member of the Maui community and so pleased to invite the community to our beautiful new location and offer specials to say mahalo, Maui.”
