Maui Crime Log Aug. 9–15: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 17 burglaries,  27 vehicle break-ins and six vehicle thefts in Maui County over the seven-day period between Sunday, Aug. 9, and Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015.

The number of burglaries is four more than reported the previous week.

The number of vehicle break-ins this week is three less than the previous week.

The number of vehicle thefts is seven less than reported last week.

• Sunday, Aug. 9, 2:36 a.m.: Hale Kipa Road/Makani Road, Makawao. Burglary non-residential, forced entry.
• Sunday, Aug. 9, 5:28 a.m.: Waianuhea Street, Waikapu. Burglary non-residential, forced entry.
