Looking Ahead
Rather light winds are expected over the next several days thanks to Jimena passing by north of the state. Scattered showers can be expected especially during the afternoon hours. Some showers may be locally heavy. As we head toward the second half of the week, more moisture is expected to be drawn up on the backside of Jimena. Winds are expected to be from the southeast at that time. An increase in shower activity is forecast with the best chances of showers being during the afternoon hours.
Today
Today we expect partly sunny skies with scattered showers for windward and mauka spots and isolated leeward showers. In the afternoon leeward areas could get an increase in showers due to daytime heating. High temperatures from 88° to 93°. Light and variable winds are expected up to 15 mph.
UV index at 12 (“extreme” exposure level)
Tonight
Partly cloudy skies are expected at night with scattered showers. Low temperatures from 75° to 80°. Light and variable winds are expected up to 15 mph.
