Pacific Whale Foundation’s Eco Adventures is offering sunset cruises from Mā’alaea Harbor to the Lahaina Halloween festivities on Saturday, Oct. 31.

“When you join us on our Halloween Cocktail Cruise to Lahaina, you’ll find that more than half the fun is the party on our boats,” said John Gaskins, sales and customer care general manager of PWF Eco Adventures. “Feast on a buffet of wickedly good hot and cold appetizers, enjoy Maui Brewing Co. beer, wine, mai tais and other tropical cocktails, and take in some amazing views of the sunset, Neighbo Islands and West Maui mountains.”

Best of all, you’ll skip any worries about ghoulish traffic on the highway or nightmarish parking hassles,” he said. “Our alternative is so much more relaxing; you park your car in the large, free lot at Mā’alaea Harbor and our professional crew transports you to Lahaina, where you land just footsteps from all of the excitement at Banyan Tree Park and on Front Street.”

Guests disembark for two hours to take part in the Lahaina merriment, then re-board the vessel for a cruise back to Mā’alaea under a starlit sky.

The Halloween Cocktail Cruises depart at 6 and 6:30 p.m. from Mā’alaea Harbor.

The dinner menu includes BBQ pulled pork sliders with guava barbecue sauce, kiawe-grilled chicken wings tossed with house-made organic mango habanero hot sauce served with blue cheese, local style potato macaroni salad and wok fried brussel sprouts with pomegranate-soy sauce and Kula basil. Enjoy spooky Halloween sugar cookies and triple-chocolate chip brownies for dessert.

The Halloween Cocktail Cruises take place on PWF’s double-deck power catamarans, Ocean Discovery and Ocean Odyssey. Both feature indoor and outdoor seating, a galley bar and onboard his/hers bathrooms. Ticket prices for the Halloween Cocktail Cruise are roundtrip. The price is $82.95 for adults and $61.95 for children ages 12 and under.

For guests who plan to do their eating and drinking in Lahaina, PWF offers the lower-priced Halloween Express cruise.

Guests depart from Mā’alaea at 5:30 p.m. and return from Lahaina at 11 p.m.

The ticket price for each one way trip is $35.95 for adults and $30.95 for children ages 12 and under. Roundtrip riders will need to purchase two tickets.

The Halloween Express trips take place on Ocean Liberty, a 65-foot, smooth-riding monohull with both outside and covered seating. There are also his and hers bathrooms aboard. Soft drinks and snacks are available for purchase during the trip.

Check in for each cruise begins 45 minutes prior to departure.

All profits from PWF Eco Adventure cruises benefit PWF’s research, education and conservation programs to protect the oceans through science and advocacy.
