The word “mana” is used often in our community, but do we really know what it means or refers to? Is it power? Is it spirit? Is it a life force? Is it an energy or something else altogether?
A group of community experts will come together on Sunday, March 20, 2016, in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s McCoy Studio Theater at 3 p.m. to share and discuss mana and what it might mean to you.
The discussion will be moderated by Hōkύlani Holt, director of Ka Hikina O Ka Lā, Hawai‘i Papa o ke Ao, University of Hawai‘i Maui College.
Joining in the conversation will be Rev. Kealahou C. Alika, kahu of Keawala‘i Congregational Church in Mākena, and Dr. Kamana‘opono Crabbe, Ka Pouhana (CEO) of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
This event is cosponsored by the Hawai‘i Council for the Humanities.
Tickets are $12 (plus applicable fees). Order tickets online or call (808) 242-SHOW (7469).
