VIDEO: Snow on the Big Island This Morning

Mauna Kea Rangers say the road to the summit of Mauna Kea is closed at the Visitor Information Station because of ice and snow on the roadways. The Winter Weather Warning and High Wind Advisory have been cancelled but the road to the summit will remain closed until it can be cleared of snow and ice and it’s safe for vehicles to travel on them. Winds are currently out of the south-southwest at 9 mph and the temperature is at 28.9° with the wind chill making it feel like 20°.
