Free Spay & Neuter Clinic for Cats and Garage Sale Planned
The Maui Humane Society will again be offering a free Spay & Neuter clinic for cats. All cats are welcome at the clinic, both owned and feral.
The clinic will take place at the Maui Humane Society from Jan. 10-14, 2017, and the goal is to sterilize 150 cats per day, for a total of 600 sterilizations.
In addition to the free surgery, all cats will receive a microchip and vaccination at no cost. Maui Humane Society is able to provide these services at no charge to the community thanks to a grant from Petsmart Charities.
For appointments, call (808) 877-3680 ext. 3. For more information about the clinics, see Maui Humane Society’s website.
Maui Humane Society Garage Sale:
The public is invited to drop by the shelter on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a one day Garage and Bag Sale.
The event offers those in attendance a chance to get deals on pet supplies, animal-related merchandise, household items and more. The Bag Sale features grocery bags that will be provided to each customer for a minimum donation of $5 each. Customers then fill up the bag with as many items as it will hold. There is no limit on the number of bags that can be purchased and all bags will be provided by MHS.
*Note: There are some items that will not fit into a grocery bag and they will be priced individually although no item will be priced over $5 for the Bag Sale.
The Maui Humane Society accepts cash or checks only, and all sales are final. One-hundred percent of the proceeds go to the Maui Humane Society.
