Maui Surf Forecast
North: Most spots will be shoulder high to overhead today.
West: Surf is knee/waist high today with the best breaks getting up to chest high on the sets. Spots catching the west-northwest wrap will be bigger. Spots blocked by Molokai will be smaller.
South: Surf is knee/waist/chest high today with spots blocked by the other islands flat/ankle high.
Our current west-northwest swell is forecast to begin an easing trend Monday. A large XL swell is forecast to build and peak Tuesday up to 15 to 20 foot faces for the deep water breaks. Wednesday this swell will begin to ease. There is potential for another swell for the weekend.
Nothing significant expected out of the South Pacific but activity is starting to pick up a little bit.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
