Mardi Gras 2017 A Huge Success for Maui AIDS FoundationMarch 7, 2017, 3:05 PM HST · Updated March 7, 3:09 PM 0 Comments
Maui AIDS Foundation hosted its 6th annual Mardi Gras Maui Fundraiser at the Four Seasons Resort on Feb. 18 to raise money for HIV prevention, education and testing for Maui County.
The event raised $20,000 over its projected budget according to Development Director Anthony Acosta who called 2017 “The best year in the history of the event.”
“We couldn’t have done it without collaboration from our community partners and all the staff and volunteers,” he said.
The money from this event is critical in keeping free services available to all Maui County residents including testing, case management, linkage to medical assistance and continued HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infection education and prevention.
Maui AIDS Foundation extended thanks to everyone involved. To learn more about the vital work of this organization visit www.mauiaids.org.
