Gay Sibonga
Maui Economic Opportunity today announced the selection of Maui resident, Gay Sibonga, as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer.
Sibonga was most recently the Operations Manager for the Macy’s Hawaii District, overseeing four stores on three islands.
She fills the vacancy created by the promotion of Debbie Cabebe to Chief Executive Officer after the retirement of longtime executive Lyn McNeff in March.
Sibonga was born and raised on the island of Maui and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Hawaiʻi.
In her new capacity, she will assist the Chief Executive Officer with the day-to-day management and oversight of the agency and is responsible for program oversight and contract compliance.
