8th Annual Keiki Tilapia Fishing Tournament, Saturday

The 8th Annual Keiki Tilapia Fishing Tournament takes place this Saturday, May 13, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., along Kā‘anapali Golf Courses Pond as a benefit for Maui United Way.

Hosted by Maui Electric and Kā‘anapali Golf Courses, about 600 pre-registered keiki and their ‘ohana will cast their poles during this “tag and release” event.

During the tournament, keiki will be vying for the “Biggest Tilapia” of the day in their age category.

The schedule for the morning includes the following:

· 7 a.m.: Welcoming Remarks
· 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.: Fishing and weighing
· 9:25 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.: Award ceremony
