Maui Crime Aug. 6-12, 2017: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 15 burglaries, 17 vehicle thefts and 19 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Aug. 6-12, 2017.

Burglaries were down 32%, with 15 incidents reported over the seven day period, down from the 22 burglaries reported the week before. Vehicle thefts were up nearly 55% from the week before when 11 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins were down 49% from the 37 break-ins reported last week.

Of the 17 vehicles reported stolen, three have since been recovered.
