Nā Hōkū Hano Hano Award winners and Grammy nominated singers/songwriters, Amy Hanaiali’i and Raiatea Helm, will headline Hale Makua Health Services’ annual fundraiser, Kokua for Kupuna.

Guests will be treated to an evening oceanfront and under the stars on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Ka’anapali on the Ocean Lawn. Registration will open at 5:00 p.m. with the formal program beginning at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser help frail elders and disabled individuals who cannot afford healthcare services.

Kokua for Kupuna will also include an opening performance by Maui’s own Koa band, a Hawaiian buffet dinner, two hosted drinks, and silent auction with over 100 items from local retailers and restaurants. Tickets are $150 for adults, $40 for keiki 5 through 12 years old, and $1,500 for a reserved table of 10. Tickets and tables can be purchased by calling (808) 871-9271 or online at www.halemakua.org.

This year’s event will honor long-time Hale Makua Health Services supporters, Maui Jim and Walter Hester, as well as former Board Director Mitch Mitchell, for their vital roles in ensuring that Hale Makua is, and continues to be, a resource for generations of kupuna to come.
