Looking Ahead
Relatively dry and breezy trade wind weather will continue across the smaller islands today, with low clouds and light showers focusing primarily over windward and mauka areas. Hurricane Hector will be passing by south of the Big Island today, and will bring an increase in winds and rain to windward and southeastern portions of that island. Any impacts from Hector will be highly dependent on its track and intensity. Breezy conditions are expected tonight, with wet trade wind weather spreading across the entire state. The showery trade wind weather will continue through Thursday night, with drier conditions moving in from southeast to northwest across the island chain on Friday. A drier and more typical trade wind pattern is expected to resume Friday night through early next week.
West Side
