Island Honda Makes List of ‘Best Dealerships to Work For’

Island Honda in Kahului was included in Automotive News’ annual list of “Best Dealerships to Work For” in 2018. Now in its sixth year, it gives dealerships across the nation the special designation as “one of the best” based on positive feedback from employees. A survey distributed to nominated stores helps to measure employee satisfaction.

“We’re proud of all of our stores that participated in the Best Dealerships to Work For program,” said Bryan DeBoer, president and CEO of Lithia Motors. “It’s a great example of our mission Growth Powered by People. They create their own cultures that are appropriate for their local customers, franchise and team members and this results in higher employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction.”

Island Honda shares the list with Honolulu Volkswagen, Lithia Hyundai of Reno, Audi of Oxnard, DCH Montclair, Audi of Des Moines, DCH Honda Temecula, DCH Kay Honda, DCH Lexus of Oxnard and DCH Millburn Audi. All have been recognized for their extraordinary staff experience and team morale.

When asked how they create a positive and hard-working environment, several general managers acknowledge Lithia leadership.
