Water Main Break on Central Ave, Wailuku

Update: 9:55 a.m. 11.13.18

Crews from the Maui Department of Water Supply continue repairs on a broken 6 inch water main in Wailuku.

Department officials say the affected area has been isolated to the following streets which have no water at this time:

  • Central Avenue
  • Ilina Street
  • Kaniela Street
  • Parts of Vineyard Street
  • Parts of Market Street

    At 9:55 a.m., department officials said work continues on repairs and they expect to have water service restored in approximately six hours.  Customers in the rest of Wailuku will most likely experience low water pressure for the rest of the day.

Crews from the Maui Department of Water Supply are responding to a water main break in Wailuku on Central Avenue.

The break has resulted in the closure of Central Avenue between Nani Street and Loke Street until further notice.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018.

At 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, Department officials said work is expected to take another six hours to complete.
