Pukalani Man Arrested, Police Find Firearm

A Maui man was arrested after police found him within a vehicle with a firearm and ammunition inside.

Police responded to the report at around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, that the man was allegedly intoxicated and in possession of a pistol.

Police arrived to find the man in a vehicle parked at the Pukalani Terrace.  Police also found a pistol and ammunition in the vehicle.

Eric Dawkins, 50, of Pukalani was arrested and charged with “place to keep pistol and place to keep ammunition,” and bail was set at $5,200.
