July 2019 YTD Maui Statistics; 

Through July 2019 YTD, home sales are down 10% on Maui but the Upcountry District (Kula/ʻUlupalaua/Kanaio, Makawao/Olinda/Hāliʻimaile, Pukalani) is up over 22%, recording 28 more home sales vs. the same time last year. It is the only district on Maui that experienced a positive increase vs. 2018. Condo sales for Maui felt a slight decrease, off 4%, where West Maui condos experienced a 4% increase. Median sales prices across Maui for all types of properties – homes, condo and land – increased, 7%, $750,000 (homes), 4%, $518,000 (condo), and 5%, $498,750 (land).

Year to date, South Maui continues to be the district where most transactions record, 38%, and where the total dollar volume are the highest on the island: Kīhei homes ($93,582,448), Kīhei condos ($205,688,633) and Wailea/Mākena land ($47,804,500).

Maui’s Top 3% Realtors 2019

On a humid, balmy August evening, Fidelity National & Escrow, Homes and Land Magazine and invited Nā hoa (partner) sponsors, honored Maui’s Top 3% REALTORS 2019 at the Humble Market Kitchin.

On Maui, there are over 1,750+ licensed real estate agents who sell the dream of owning on Maui. From local residents to second home owners, Maui is a place where vacationers flock to, retirees settle, and the local residents remain, raising their own children on this island.

Attendees gathered together for an evening of a delicious buffet from the kitchen of Roy Yamaguchi, listened to the local music of Tom Conway, and were inspired by special guest, Kainoa Horcajo, Hawaiʻi’s emerging leader in the field of cultural tourism. Kainoa reminded us that no matter where we come from, nor what experiences we have had, we get to approach one another with aloha. That is to say, connecting with people through listening and talking and doing with no preconceptions. As guests, as locals, as humans, we offer aloha first before expecting it back.
