Mauiʻs own Angela and Phil Benoit will return to Jazz at The Shops on Sept. 4.

The jazz duo will perform a free concert in the upper-level luxury wing at The Shops at Wailea from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Born in Pāʻia, Angela Benoit has been singing all of her life and has performed professionally for over 20 years. Phil Benoit, a self-taught guitarist who moved to Hawaiʻi in the late 1970s, has also been performing for over two decades.

Together, they have produced three extended play records, with a fourth expected for release later this year. The pair also heads the Maui-based jazz group “Benoit Jazzworks,” playing their original music in addition to jazz standards, bossa nova, pop, and Hawaiian swing.

Jazz at the Shops is a monthly, complimentary concert with a portion of the event parking fees donated to a local charity.

The non-profit recipient for September is Best Buddies Hawaiʻi, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Four-hour event parking vouchers cost $5 and can be purchased at the nonprofit parking table.
