Maui Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in locating a Hāna man who was reported missing.

Leonardo Diaz, 30, was seen at his home in Hāna on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 at around 10:30 p.m.  He was also observed by a resident at around 7:30 a.m. the following day on Haneoʻo Road walking towards Hāmoa Beach wearing only surf trunks.

On the same day (Thursday, Sept. 5) at around 10 a.m., a visitor at Hāmoa Beach found Diaz’s cell phone and car keys sitting on a rock wall near the beach. Checks of the coastline and near shore waters by fire crews and personnel aboard a helicopter were unsuccessful in locating Diaz.
